In preparations for moving in with Lizzie and finally becoming an adult with a mortgage to pay, I am realizing that I need to downsize my possessions. Especially all of the boxes which are sitting inside my attic which have not been opened or used since our move from Brooklyn to Staten Island three years ago.

I really need to find some cool home design and planning websites / magazines / books to read. I need to get a better idea of what we can do with the amount of space that we have at casa de segreto.

Well, for now it's coffee and off to work.

Kate Nash is currently playing via iTunes and I am rocking out. Cleaning up the mess that has accumulated in my house.

I participated in a coffee tasting aka "cupping" of the new Starbucks Kopelani blend. It is being classified as a "medium" and is made up of Latin American, African and 10% Kona Coffees. I found that the first slurp was good, but each additional was very acidic. This is most likely the Latin American influence on the coffee. It will probably pair very well with the new peach tart or an upside down pineapple cake.  It will probably be brewed by me as a dessert coffee to compliment a wonderful pastry or cake.

BTW - Also confirmed to myself today that the former co-worker whom I offended with the "Pot Brownies" comment, has a husband who works for a major media company and produced a new film about two men of asian descent who are heavily into the use of marijuana as a recreational drug. One character is named Harold and the other is named Kumar.

Well, I actually wish I could meet up with this co-worker and let her know that I would never want to have offended her.

Anyway - Life Goes On..... and so does Corky.

Today was a fun and eventful day. I made a trip the Library, the Anything Goes Bookstore, several visits to Starbucks, Chipotle and a visit with Heather and John Armstrong of Armstrong Media.

Heather is widely known throughout the blogging community as Dooce. She has put together a book with several other authors contributing to it and was in town for a media tour and impromptu book signing. It was at Soda Bar on Vanderbilt Avenue in Brooklyn. It was nice to say hello and just show support for an individual who I believe is an artist in her own right.

I took some photos via the iPhone. I realize that some other individuals will have better images up but I figured I could share mine anyway.

I want to thank Sarah Brown for being so kind and generous with her time. She even made this great little motion with a pen and her face... reminded me of good times. (Sarah can be found at http://www.queserasera.org/ )
